Tracks of work · 1998–2026
Four tracks have run in parallel for over a decade. I've led teams since 2005 and never stopped writing code — TI Especialistas ran alongside a full-time job for sixteen years.
The thread
I started in prepress, in 1998. In a print workflow there's no hotfix: if the plate is wrong, the entire run is wrong. That's where I learned the difference between “it's done” and “it's right” — and that almost everyone confuses the two.
In 2001 I moved to code, and the question came with me. In 2005 I started leading, and found the bottleneck is rarely technical: it's decisions without data, priorities without criteria, and agreements nobody wrote down.
In 2010 I founded TI Especialistas to solve the collective version of that — knowledge that exists but doesn't circulate. Editing five thousand articles from fifteen hundred authors taught me to smell a weak argument, and left me an archive that years later became raw material.
When generative AI arrived, the four tracks converged. Sofia is the editorial archive turning into answers. Virtual Arena AI is provenance rigor applied to public data. KinProof is prepress all over again: old document, careful reading, human review.
Twenty-eight years later it's still the same question — except now the one answering too fast is the machine.
Services
Four systems I founded and still operate. Each declares the stage it is in — including the ones that are not ready yet.
Collects and cross-references public signals from technology, the job market, scientific research, cybersecurity and economics. It doesn't predict the future: it shows movements, counter-signals and cross-domain relationships with the evidence chain visible.
The AI assistant of TI Especialistas. RAG with hybrid search over the editorial archive: retrieves by topic, by author and by the article currently open, keeps session state and suggests related content without inventing links.
Document AI for historical research: reads old records and extracts people, relationships, events, dates and places into a navigable structure. It began with my own family's genealogical research, when nothing on the market did this well.
Portal, community, job board and newsletter. In practice, my long-term laboratory: content, SEO, performance and, more recently, AI over a proprietary archive.
How the pieces fit
These aren't loose projects. Products sit on top; underneath is a layer that decides what may run, executes, observes and responds when something breaks.
The arrow that matters points down: no product talks straight to execution. Everything goes through the layer that can say no.
Internal layer
These aren't brands, they're the engineering behind the services. I describe them because this is where the decisions live that separate useful AI automation from dangerous automation.
Runs the pipelines, routes between local and external models, and returns code, content, tests and evidence of what it did.
Decides what may run, by which executor and under which policies, gates and approvals. It's the layer that says no.
Turns metrics, logs, alerts and runbooks into context, priority and diagnosis. Shadow mode, human approval, rollback and small blast radius by design.
Queries state and sends operational commands in natural language, including over WhatsApp, with authentication and per-command scope.
